SuperPower FX Beta Privacy Notice

Version 1.3 (beta), 2026-10-20

Pro-Motion ("we") runs the SuperPower FX beta and is responsible for the data described here. Contact for questions and requests: support@pro-motion.dev. This notice goes with the beta licence (EULA.md).

What we collect, and why

Your account. You sign in with your Pro-Motion account, the one account for all Pro-Motion products, which signs you in with Google. SuperPower FX receives from it your e-mail address, an account identifier, the state of your Pro-Motion account (whether it is restricted, blocked or deleted, and when you sign out) and your Pro-Motion profile (see "Community presets, cards and comments"), and nothing else from your Google account. You choose a nickname. We use them to run the beta: your account, your invitations (the 5 invitations you receive, and which are used up), your card, contact about the beta, and restricting or blocking an account that breaks the licence. We do not use them for advertising and do not sell them.

Usage data from the plug-in. Only if you allow it (the installer asks, and you can change it in the plug-in's settings at any time), while the plug-in is online it sends technical data (versions of SuperPower FX, After Effects, the operating system and the graphics card; crashes, hangs, render errors, render times) and usage data (how often and how long it is used, which features and kinds of controls are used, how many elements are created and changed). It is associated with a random installation identifier, which we do not link to your account, name, e-mail address or invitation; this does not necessarily make the data anonymous, and it may remain personal data under applicable law. It never contains element code, project, composition or layer names, file paths, text values or renders. A crash report that could contain such content is sent only if you agree. We use it to improve SuperPower FX, measure its stability and use, and set the terms and prices of later versions. When offline mode is selected, the plug-in records and sends no usage data (it still writes its logs and temporary preview images on your computer); online but briefly without a connection, usage data waits and is sent later.

Offline activation. If you use the plug-in offline, it shows a computer code, which is a hash of several system values. The raw values are never sent. We use the code only to make the activation code for that computer.

Community presets, cards and comments. A preset you publish, with its title, description, tags, your nickname and the ratings it receives, is visible to other participants. Nothing is published unless you choose to. Do not include client material or personal data in a preset. If you delete a preset, it disappears from the collection with its comments; copies already downloaded stay with those who downloaded them.

Other participants who are signed in also see your card: your nickname, the month you joined the beta, the number of presets and comments you published, the average rating of your presets, your presets, and the name, avatar, about text and link of your Pro-Motion profile. The profile comes from your Pro-Motion account, where you change or remove it; we keep a copy of it, the avatar included, to show the card, and update the copy when you change the profile. Your card is not shown to search engines.

A comment you write under a preset is visible to other participants, with your nickname, name and avatar. You can edit it for 15 minutes after you post it and delete it at any time in the collection, under the preset, or ask us to. The author of the preset can hide comments under it from the other participants, and administrators can remove any comment and turn commenting off for an account. While your Pro-Motion account is restricted, your card and your comments are hidden from others. Deleting your account (here or your Pro-Motion account) removes your card, the copy of your profile and your comments.

Technical records of our servers. Our web server and the update service may record the network address and the time of a request for security and to find faults. These records are kept for up to 30 days and are not joined to usage data.

Who receives it

Google (sign-in), the company that hosts our server, and a mail service for the support address. We do not sell your data. We disclose it if the law requires.

How long we keep it

Usage data: no longer than the beta and 12 months after it ends (or a shorter period the law requires), then we delete it or keep only summary counts that are anonymous. Account data: until you ask us to delete the account; otherwise as long as we need it to contact you. If you delete your Pro-Motion account, your SuperPower FX account and its data are deleted too.

Your rights

You can ask us to show, correct or delete your account data, and to show or delete the data of your installation (give the installation identifier shown in the plug-in's settings). Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK or California) you may have further rights, such as to object or to complain to the data protection authority; write to us and we will answer. The only automatic step is that an offline activation stops working after 90 days; you get a new one on the website. We do not make other decisions about you by automated means, and a block of an account is decided by a person.

Cookies

Our website uses only the cookie that keeps you signed in.

Children

The beta is for professionals and is not meant for children under 16.

Changes

We will tell you in the plug-in and on the website before a change of this notice takes effect.
